For one night only, Shoreditch became a gigantic canvas for the work of Steampunk’s Caravaggio, fine art photographer Gary Nicholls, in the form of ‘Guerrilla street art pop ups’! Projected onto the local architecture, Gary’s ultra-detailed compositions dazzled in the night sky, much to the delight of the locals.
This area of East London was taken back to its Victorian roots in line with the 200th Anniversary of the birth of both Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Gary Nicholl’s work has become one of the most sought after art forms within the cult Steampunk fashion genre, a genre that aims to combine historical style with a futuristic fashion theme via vast online networks and events which have attracted up to 300,000 followers.
