If you haven’t heard, Black Eddy are releasing their new album, ‘Home of the Mad and the Shameless’, and it does not disappoint.
The Blackpool-based band have found their niche, combining hard rock with their own distinctive sound which sees them tackle various topics including, mental health and internet addiction, which is the topic of their lead single ‘Repost’.
Speaking of their lead single the band stated: “With Repost we wanted to soundtrack the doom-scroll. It’s no secret that millions around the world struggle with internet and phone addiction (ourselves included).”
Their take on darker topics and themes mixed in with pensive vocals, with a force of energy is reminiscent of legends such as System of a Down, Dead Kennedy and Black Sabbath. The heavy emotions that the band feature contrast with the track’s full trash of instrumentation making for a compelling listening experience.
The guys have already firmly established a strong fan base in their hometown, their reputation firmly established by their legendary live shows. Bringing their elected stage presence in abundance Black Eddy have been charming audiences at battle of the bands, and halloween parties. Soon Black Eddy will be a name on everyone’s lips.
