Released in 2012, ‘He Ain’t Heavy’ is a selection of original songs, ranging from single, “Christmas Lie?”, Gospel classic “Baby Born Today” and “Go Where I Send Thee”. As well as seasonal tracks such as “Put a Little Love” and “Love Me Still”. These songs are being brought back to life with the aim of raising funds and awareness to the Pan African Book Foundation, a Tanzanian charity that focuses on distributing educational resources throughout Tanzania and UNICEF’s Horn of Africa Drought Appeal.
Performing at The Camden Assembly on the 22nd December later this month, it’ll be performed by some prestigious names, who have played alongside some musical legends, such as Vanessa Haynes (Van Morrison, Chaka Khan), Susan Allotey (Precious Wilson, Kenny Thomas) and Andrew Wood Mitchell (Natalie Cole, Sonique). Coming together for one night, this charity performance will have the aim of raising money for causes that desperately need help, all while providing some immense entertainment in the process.
We can assure you that this is not a performance you want to miss – with so much to talent to showcase all with proceeds going to great causes, it’s the perfect way to spread the festive cheer and the idea of giving this Christmas.
