Founder of communications agency, Quite Great, Pete Bassett has contacted us to tell us about a quite remarkable artist who is defying odds to bring happiness to others at a time of great concern for everyone.
“At a time of deep concern across the world it reminds me of the importance music and spirituality in bringing confidence and guidance to the world. I recently had a meeting with a man who has conquered so many fears and inspired so many people I thought it relevant to highlight his name and the great work he has been doing even in the face of huge personal tragedy including most recently a stroke. Yet this has not stopped the amazing Glenn Perry from embracing every means possible to spread peace and harmony through music. We met in what now seems to be a different life time on a wonderful sunny day in the centre of London’s then bustling Covent Garden and a few months before his brain stroke and the subsequent initiation of his astonishing ‘Brain Stroke Challenge 125’ .
I sat sharing a black coffee and a herbal tea with this great man whilst he explained to me his musical path, a path that was purely outward looking , that did not relate to any selfish reasons for embarking on his musical mission , but only focused on what music can do for others. He outlined his message passionately a message through music that on the one hand could enchant those simply looking to gain relaxation through music and meditation but on the other send a personal message of comfort to those struggling to come to terms with mental health issues and other physical obstacles. Little did I know that all these months later , his music and his vision would be so important on a global scale.
