Happy Friday readers of My Dad Rocks. It’s almost the weekend and I think you can agree we have had some brilliant music this week. Sending you into the weekend I have the amazing band The Footlight District with their new single ‘Lightning’
‘Lightning’ blows the cobwebs off a glum, rainy day, and immerses the listener into feelings of escapism into a really great track. The song contains contagious melodies and a message to touch everybody’s souls catering to all music lovers of the ever-fluid and evolving garage- rock genre.
The experience the band have clearly shine through being veterans in their craft, the band wonderfully meshes together the musicality and the lyrics to create a perfectly coherent track that fully engages the audience from start to finish.
With The Footlight District, The music is captivating, and tells a story that is simply far more than what may have been initially thought. This band of siblings has released several songs and this tune in particular showcases their instrumental talent and vocal capabilities in abundance. The song is well-worth pre-saving and following their social media pages allowing fans to stay in touch with new releases and upcoming gigs.
