Having been kicked out of post-punk icons Gang of Four for sleeping during soundchecks and turning down the opportunity to join The Cure, you can be forgiven for thinking that the latest venture from the singularly-titled Woolfman would be a barnstorming riot of unhinged madness. In fact, he’s done something even more radical, he’s teamed up with the previously unknown JStew, whose soaring , gospel-infused falsetto gives away something of his unusual dual life – he’s also a Christian preacher.
Whilst to some, the dance scene still evokes thoughts of sweat-drenched individuals off their heads on drugs and gurning madly to deafening tuneless dirges, Woolfman and JStew have concocted a track which pleases both the likes of genre Titan David Guetta and the causal pop radio listener. Well worth casting your preconceptions aside and giving them a listen. Praise be!
