Wanaka is here with his latest release ‘Another Spoon’ Boasting sharp and acute lyricism and inventive instrumentals. ‘Another Spoon’ is an ode to the artists that have fallen to the opiate.
Paying homage to the legends such as Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Sid Vicious and asking the question of “How many more legendary artists do we have to lose to heroin?” while creatively channelling his inspirations such as Eddie Vedder and Bon Iver. Wanaka has created an intriguing track bolstered by poignant songwriting.
In ‘Another Spoon’ Wanaka allows his unique style of singing to really shine. He has a unique tone that suits the genre of the track. Furthermore, this accompanies his expression of the song emphasising Wanaka’s lyrical conveying of emotion.
Taking influence from grunge to alt-rock to folk, as well as nature itself, the French-born Israeli artist refines diverse sources into his signature folk-rock sound, bolstered by poignant songwriting.
