Scottish singer-songwriter Senti comes with the perfect back-story for his music. As an old school romantic he’ll break your heart, as a junior doctor, he’ll mend it right back. Understandably, Senti had to put his musical dreams on hold while fighting on the front-lines during the greatest pandemic in modern history. The artist is now primed to heal fans physically and emotionally with a Latin-inspired track full of old-school charm but with an admirably progressive mentality – “He She It.”
Says Senti: “The song is essentially a stand against toxic mentality in modern love and to say that other people’s opinions don’t matter. All that matters is that you’re happy together…”
Impressively, Senti handles all instruments on the single himself, including classical guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Inspiration for the track developed from a poem Senti wrote for a woman he loved. It’s a stylish and classy update on classic crooner territory with some lovely nuanced touches. The rolling Latin feel adds much, and Senti’s vocals are perfect for this genre.
According the artist himself, Senti began his musical journey as a head-banging metal artist at the age of twelve, before becoming enamoured with Spanish culture, flamenco particularly. “He She It” has a feel which will appeal across the generations, and that’s no easy task.
