Hailing from Los Angeles and the beach cities of Southern California, Velvet Starlings will be hitting the UK on a 20 date run in support of the new single, “H.G.Wells” from the band’s upcoming second album, Pacific Standard Time.
Somewhat fittingly, Velvet Starlings ‘HG Wells’ pays tribute to the legendary time lords and sci-fi heroes “Dr Who, Doc Brown and HG Wells” and the wish to be able to send a “real genius” back in time to change the state of things and what’s going on in the world today.
Produced by Christian Gisborne and Joel Jerome (Cherry Glazer/Sloppy Jane) and mastered by Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys, Liam Gallagher, Black Keys). The single drops just in time to coincide with the band’s UK tour, which includes a slot on the “This Feeling” stage at the Isle of Wight Festival. This tour marks The Starlings 3rd run to the UK and features a new 4-piece line up.
